Christmas 2009

Okay, so where do we begin when it comes to our holidays? Morgan, Austin, Sally & I went and decorated Granny's Christmas tree. (the chair she sitting in is 90+ years old, it was Granny's when she was young.)
We took our annual Christmas pictures and after a little bribery of ice cream we all smiled and pretended to get along :-)

Morgan hangin out at the Morgan's house and getting into trouble! She is really developing her personality and we have established that she is going to be assertive & very opinionated!

Austin explored his western side and loves his cowboy boots, hat & belt. He was sooo cute when he insisted on being a cowboy and going out to feed.

Ms. Morgan got her first ride from Santa. Let's just say she's had more seat time in her bike than her brother.

Shor-Tee even got into the Christmas mix.

Okay, so the tow truck was Santa's biggest hit.

Paiton was teaching Morgan the "ropes" and how to do this Christmas thing.

Christmas bells are ringing!

We went to Brawley for a little post Turkey Day celebration with the Jenkins family. Austin & Morgan are playing much better together...well, sometimes they are. the rest of the time it is just good ol' fashion brother & sister arguing and pestering.

Super Morgan helped decorate the christmas tree.

Then we just all sat around and admired the pretty lights and all of the other things we can't touch!

Andrea provided a little mobile entertainment for Austin. Hee Haw!

We call this "gooby face"

Has it REALLY been two months??? Sorry Mom!

To kick the October festivities off we took the kids to the pumpkin patch.Morgan was less than thrilled to be there, plus it was WAAAAAY past nap time. Mom's fault!Austin go to ride the little tractor ride and had a blast! And these were the final selections. Then we had to carve the pumpkin. You will notice that we start with two children at the table and helping, then as we go one disappears...Austin getting down and dirty diggin' out the guts. Austin was Sherrif Woody from Toy Story, but he wasn't real jazzed about the hat.

Story time at the day care party.
Look quickly, I got one of him with the hat on!

Morgan didn't like her hat either. She was a pink poodle

Paiton (Bumble Bee) Morgan and Austin

Dad and his little poodle/pit bull!
I think I need one of those high speed cameras like they use at the track field so I can better capture the kids together.

My little Poodle, she was so stinkin' cute! Grumpy, but cute!

Oh yeah, and sometime in September we went to the fire department.

Austin with his serious look. Strike a pose!

LOOOK AT ME WALKING!!!!!!

I have been perfecting my first steps and I am at about 95% proficiency at this point. I do believe I will be entering the next Hanford marathon.

Still a little wobbly, but I am getting there.

Baseball game and playing in the park

We went down to the park this morning and Austin discovered the water feature that they have. It was great spontaneous fun.

While Austin danced, Morgan wasn't so convinced that this was great.

We had a play date and Morgan got to play with all the big kids. It wasn't easy getting non-stop attention from all the big kids!

Granny took us to a AAA baseball game. Morgan missed it this year but next year she will be all over it!

The cool thing was at the park they had all kinds of kid-friendly activities before the game!
