Our first trip to see "the bridge"

We took the kids on a ferry ride to check out the Golden Gate Bridge and Pier 39. The ferry ride was great, not too many people get to check out the bridge from this angle, it was cool!

Morgan was my little dare devil and wanted to hang over the edge of the boat, needless to say, I had to put my foot down.
These poor kids were dressed for traditional bay area weather, but it was unusually warm. I felt really bad for them, but there was no complaining!

My goofy boy cheesin' for the camera.

The pretzel princess.

There's a new Mr. & Mrs. Garcia in town!

Congratulations Katie & Chuy!!
Granpa Garcia, Yasmine, Grandma Garcia, and you know who the other two are.

This is the crew after pictures. It was such a beautiful backdrop, I couldn't bare to put my camera down.

I promise she was not nearly as annoyed as she looks here!

My little Dapper Dan. I want to know where he learned to pose with his hand in his pocket?

Getting ready to head down the aisle. They were absolute perfection!!!!! Down the aisle, holding hands and even smiling at a few people. We were so proud!!

Here they are before pictures started.

Chuy coaching Austin on how to be one of the guys.

Her dress was adorable and she even kept her shoes on all night.

I think the look on Austin's face speaks volumes!

Soccer Debut

Well, we had our first official soccer game. It was entertaining to say the least! Morgan was sure to provide the half time entertainment.
These poor kids had a sideline full of parents shouting which way they were supposed to kick the ball.

Go number 6!!

One last summer trip to the lake

okay, look closely at the name of the boat...I promise I don't have photo shop, but someone has some blue spray paint. hee hee heee
Miss Morgan getting used to the lake.

These next few pictures are for my mom. Just a sample of the livestock we came across on our trip.

This guy was fishing for something to eat.

This was outside the back of the cabin. There were three more full grown males with him. That was the most I have ever seen at one time!

Oh, my girl LOVES to get dirty.

Morgan took a turn driving the boat and she loved every minute of it.

Austin on the other hand was more pensive in his driving.

Mimi

Pappa Mike taking a turn on the tube. Not too bad for a 40 something year old.

Okay, if you look closely you will see my little dare-devil daughter hanging on to the tube with all of her might. She was an ANIMAL!

She made poor Pappa Mike read book after book after book.

It was a long day at the lake, but the kids really enjoyed themselves.

Oh, Raumi always enjoys the cook mountain air too.

WoooHOO Adrian, let's see you get some AIR!

Lazy Days of Summer

The kids have been spending as much time as posssible in the water. Even if it's in our little redneck pool :-)
Silly girls. Looks like we are going to have our hands full with these two ladies!

Cousin Paiton striking a pose!

I love the love between these two.

We went down to the park to check out the water feature.

Morgan thinks she is going to have a future in modeling...her father thinks otherwise!

Smiling faces make for a happy family!

Birthdayin' for Paiton

Cousin Paiton recently celebrated her last birthday as an only child. She turned three and by the end of the night she was a princess!Morgan decided to see how well her bike swims...twice. Needless to say, I think the bike floated better than she did.
Austin lovin' the perks of birthday parties.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

Austin the "Cannon Ball KING"!! I love it!

Beatin' the Brawley Heat

Well, for our summer grand finale, we headed to Brawley. I know, we really know how to live it up! The good news is, my parents pool receives GREAT afternoon shade and the weather was the mildest I think I have ever seen it in July! You can't go to Brawley without spying a few horses. And if you have horses, you MUST have a cowboy. All I have to do is mention that we are going to Pappa J's and Grandma J's (AKA Mother J) house and Austin has hat and belt in hand.

Personally, I think Morgan is going to be more of a Lipizzan kinda girl.

At least she knows how to hang out at the "hitching post".

Austin was in charge of gates and I think he performed with flying colors. He even had the professional cowboy "hang" down pat. I definitely see a future for him as the gate guy.

All work and no play makes cowboys dull boys. So, even they MUST chase their sisters...

El Jefe.

Afer a long day at the barn, Austin & Morgan went for a little swim. You can see how his confidence has just exploded in the pool! Three years of swimming lessons, countless Xanex prescriptions and numerous threats and the boy can finally swim!

Morgan did actually jump off, but after jumping off the first time and getting her hat all dirty it was more than she could handle. It was her first and last jump for the week...maybe next year.

This was much easier to keep her accessories dry.
